Startup WEB in Dubai based on the sharing economy

Imagine a web-portal and mobile app where you can easily rent or offer to rent all your belongings, for an hour, a day or a longer period. In few clics you can find near you all the stuff you need just for a limited period. Peer-to-peer rental is an alternative consuming portal by renting what you need directly from your neighbourhood. It’s an easy way to make money out of your goods by renting them.

Problématique traitée:
Dubai is a place with a huge expatriate community and a subsequent turnover. People are very busy and do a lot of different activities and don't necessary want to buy items just to use once in a year. going camping in the desert this weekend, surfing tomorrow morning or just having a karaoke night at home. All of this need equipment.
In addition, it's an expensive city where it's not possible to cumulate job so there is not much option to have additional income.

Modèle économique:
The economic model need to be finalized in the business plan but the most probable is a percentage fees out of each transaction plus a minimum fee for low value transaction.
The model is based on users and volumes, the more items listed we have in the portal, the more chance we have to find clients and serve as an intermediary.

Concurrents:
Direct competitors are not existing but there are lot of substitutes options. First of all, you can directly buy the item one you need it, second you can always ask a friend if he has what your're looking for. There are second hand classified websites.
International competitors like zilok, snappgood, irentyou are not existing in the region...not yet!

De quoi ai-je besoin:
As a business person, I am looking for a web developer and graphic designer to build the portal. I am mainly focussing on the business part of the project but already started to gather the features and type of website I would like. Ideally I would like to work with freelancer who are also interested in sweat equity and cash. The portal to be built need also to be available on mobile phone apps.
