ANTICAFE
AntiCafé is a mixture of a co-working space, a classical café and your living room. Guests come here:
• To work and to get in touch with like-minded people;
• To hold or visit events;
• Just to spend a moment with friends.

The advantage of the AntiCafé model, compared to a classical co-working space, is flexibility – you can just show up with no reservation and no engagement. This is extremely important in Europe now as people really value flexibility because of the economic situation and the mentality. Even without any entry selection, guests share similar features: energetic people working on the implementation of their ideas. These may be entrepreneurs, freelancers and students as well as artists and professors. Many of them are also at the beginning of their projects, when they need an easily accessible place to work and also look for collaborators.

With 4 AntiCafés in Paris and Rome and many customers who are going regularly to those places, a physical community is being created spontaneously at AntiCafé: people are starting their projects here together, meeting future business partners and collaborating with people they didn’t know before. As AntiCafé is growing exponentially, the team now considers as a priority to create incentives and facilitate these collaborations. To do this, the AntiCafé team plans to develop a unique community online platform that has never been built before!
PLATFORM
The objectives of the platform will be:
1. To meet like-minded people through matching system
2. To facilitate the communications among AntiCafé guests online,
3. To facilitate offline meetings and communications within one AntiCafé,
Rather than being a basic website, the platform is intended to use cutting-edge technology for users to allow online and offline collaboration and pin-board. At the same time, the platform will be built through elegant, clean, and functional interactive design allowing users to easily use it. There will also be a mobile version of it.
The vision of the team is to create something that has never been built before and to do that the team of the AntiCafe needs developers that are also visionaries and could help the team not only to develop technologically the platform but also help them design that.
TIMELINE
The first version of the platform with some key features (to be discussed during and after the selection process) is expected to be completed by the end of May. However, this work might continue depending on the availability of funds and performance.
Approximately, the work performed by the developer/s will be done in a few iterations over a 2/3 month period before the end of May 2015. However, as this work progresses there is the possibility to extend the contract.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
As a growing company made of ambitious and talented young people, the AntiCafe is looking for 1 and/or 2 talented developers to build the platform.

You will need demonstrated expertise in:
• HTML5, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript
• Python, Ruby and/or PHP
• My SQL or similar Database architectures
• Mac OSX and/or Linux and/or Windows

But we are also interested in:
• OpenFrameworks
• Flex
• Java/Android
• Arduino
Generic skills for the job
• You have acquired experience developing websites/platforms
• You write clean, semantic code and algorithm and have a passion for learning
• You can demonstrate experience of working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop user experiences
• You can show a portfolio of work that represents your skills and approach to developing digital products.
• You know how to engage and listen to users and design products that meet their needs while remaining pragmatic about implementing appropriate solutions.
• You work well both independently and in a team setting.
• You have a passion for front-end design and implementation
