UX Specialist

We are a VC-funded company based in Marseille and focusing on the travel market

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will be responsible for refining, defining and developing the specifications of our travel artificial intelligence engine.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to excite and delight our customers while providing very robust profile and account management, and integration with our partners

In addition to working closely with world class UX designers and a vibrant marketing team, this is a senior level position and the successful candidate will be responsible for helping lead and build a team within an agile and results oriented Engineering department.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background but still enjoys using soft-skills and plays well with others. You can learn a lot on how to launch and grow a startup.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in in interaction design, new media design or related design field from a well-known university
3+ of user experience design experience for software, Web applications which leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices
3+ years executing interaction design and visual design as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
2+ years researching interaction design and technology trends
Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, drawing skills and sketchbook technique
Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail
Ability to create wireframes as well as visual design comps
Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of common software project management practices
Understanding of common software development practices
Fluent English, French native speaker

Desired qualifications:

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Rails, JavaScript/JQuery a plus
Motion graphics design and production
Video and sound editing
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in interaction design, new media design or related design field
