BMC Atrium

Description: our Client is looking for a Senior BMC Atrium CMDB consultant to assess the “AS-IS” state of the BMC Atrium CMDB, as well as related data administration processes and procedures.

The primary responsibilities include :

– Lead information gathering workshops with key subject matter experts to gather information around “AS-IS” state of the CMDB, including all related procedures/ processes.

– Apply best practices to analyse currently implemented Cis and CI relationships to identify data inconsistencies/anomalies and to assess the degree of compliancy with the out of the box implementation. Ensure that the CI class inheritance model is correctly followed, report on all CIs not following the inheritance model, and/or with missing links, and for each problematic CI identify the appropriate CI class.

– Audit the scripts used to import /update data in CMDB. Address current issues with scripts, to ensure that the Cis should be inserted with correct links/ relationships and that no duplicate Cis are created during the creation/update of Cis.

– Audit existing Wintel Servers integration implemented via Kelverion BMC integration pack.

– Estimate the cost of implementation of integration between CMDB and Self Service Portal.

– Deliver a modelling workshop to all users focused on the definition of key CI classes, how they relate (example: the difference and relationships between the BMC_BusinessService, BMC_BusinessProcess and BMC_Application CI classes). Give examples of out-of-the-box CMDB modelling on domain-specific examples. Map the concepts of applications, services, business functions that exist in different admin teams/domains to the CMDB Common Data Model.

– Audit/improve the process of the entire Cis lifecycle, from creation to retirement. This also includes the lifecycle of the media obsolescence.

– Produce a comprehensive audit report highlighting the findings along with estimated time to implement the proposed changes.

Your profile :

Fluency in French is preferred

Experience with Microsoft System Center integrations is preferred.
