Développement module PrestaShop

Introduction
We are a web company that has developed an advanced recommender system for predicting which products from an online shop’s catalog a visitor is likely to buy. Currently our solution is standalone and has to be manually integrated by each of our customers (code snippet insertion).

The goal of this task is to package our product into a Prestashop plugin that can be easily downloaded and installed by any non-technical Prestashop admin.

Product overview
The Prestashop plugin will have to perform two separate tasks :

Data Collection
The goal of this part is to track every single visitor’s behavior : each time a visitor visits a product page, the backend PHP code has to send an Ajax request to our servers with a specific content (user cookie ID, product PID, as well as some other information).

Recommendations Display
The goal of this part is to create a block of content in which products from the catalog are displayed, based on the product PIDs sent from our server in response to an API call. The block will be containing the products’ pictures, descriptions, prices and will simply link to the product pages.

Configuration screen
The configuration menu related to the module should allow the admin to entirely configure the prestashop plugin and monitor its state (functioning or not). The graphical fields we will require are :
- A simple enable/disable button for the plugin. It would enable/disable the display of the plugin in the shop
- Several “basic configuration fields”: API Key, Retailer ID, password, Server URL,… All this information will be stored locally and used at each API request to our servers.
- Selection box for the CSV file path in which the shops’ product catalog is stored. The CSV export must be run from this screen as a shortcut to Prestashop’s export functionality.
- A “catalog upload” button which will upload the catalog to our servers once, or setup an automatic catalog refresh (ex : every week on Sunday at midnight).
- A “history upload” button which will upload the anonymized order history as a CSV file to our servers (one time upload button)
- Configure the positions/blocks in the pages where the plugin will be displayed - - Select basic design options: plugin dimensions and basic color and font options. Depending on the hook where the box will be displayed, the style will be different. For example, if the box is hooked to the left column, it will display 3 small pictures of products vertically. The description and price will appear on hover. If the box is hooked to a product page, it will display 3 products with big pictures with descriptions and prices.
