Eva Reisser

I am originally from France, and I have just finished my
Master’s Degree in the History of Art and Archaeology,
specialising in Modern Art and Contemporary Art/ Performing Art
(History of Dance, Dance, Theater...). At University, I studied a
variety of art, My Bachelor’s thesis subject was “The Years of
Pop Art and American Abstraction Expressionism“. While
completing my Master’s thesis I studied Realism Painting and
“Photographie Plasticienne“, and also Tim Eitel's work. I am
currently looking for a job in this area of Art.

Before University, I attended a School of Fine Art in France where
I learned and practiced painting, photography, graphic design. In
my last year I moved to Cologne because I wanted to discover
another country and learn about another culture. Also I used to
travel in Europe. I worked in an Art Gallery called Arty Farty.
Arty Farty is a gallery for Urban Contemporary Art. Every month it
presents exhibitions about urban interventions, mural painting,
and installation art. It was a really good experience to work
there. I had the opportunity to meet interesting people, and it
was one of the first steps for me to feel more integrated in this
city. I got to learn more about Urban Contemporary Art, and it was
really exciting for me to discover this area. I also worked in
Martin Kudlek's gallery where I volunteered my help at Heiko
Räpple's exhibition and I got to meet many artists, and I believe
it's really important to have the point of view of them too.

I have become very interested in the art scene in Cologne and I
love to learn more about, and participate in any art and culture
events. I was doing work experience for three months at Nagel
Draxler's gallery and it was an amazing and really good experience
for me. I really had discovered the World of Art Market. I
appreciate to learn how to organise an exhibition, how to
understand the artist's work, and the space of exhibition. I made
an Artist's Portfolio and I learned how to work with Word Press
and different kinds of social media to promote artists, their
current work and future exhibitions. I also learnt how to write
artist's press releases and how to get press information about
what we specifically need to keep the gallery's website going.

I practice painting, photography and drawing, and my main subject
is about ‘identity’. For me, to create and work in a gallery
could be a very interesting and good combination. I rent a studio
with friends of mine where we work and create in different areas
of art. Last September, we held an exhibition called, "Emulsion
Exhibition". We organized this event with lot of artists, it was definitely a revelation for me.

I worked for 6 month in FB69 Köln galerie, I was
learning how we organize exhibitions and promote the work of young emerging artists from various disciplines such as photography
sculpture, painting and drawing.
FB69 in Cologne will showcase the work of young artists from
Cologne throughout special events, as an urban, creative
counterpoint to the usual art gallery program.
Conny Soddemann, the galerist, gave me the chance to take more
responsabilities: create different space of exhibition, meeting
with artists, selection of artist's work, participation of Art
Fair...

I was working at the Max Ernst's Museum as free lancer, I was
making a tour and explain the whole work of Max Ernst. It was
really good training, I like to exchange with people to give a
certain Knowledge of Art History, it's also interesting for me to
relate stories about the painter, it's a great exercise I can fell
I improve my communication skills.

I am really curious and I would like to get experience in Business
knowledge and skills. I am really ambitious and I am interested
about many creative field. I like to make different work
experience, theses last 2 years. I believe it's really important
for me to be skillful and to make challenges. I believe your
company would be an amazing opportunity for me. I would love to be
able to use my knowledge of Art and somehow my creative view and
get experience a in different work environment, and I think your
company offers the best way for me to improve my skills in this
area.

Beside my work I am writting articles also as a free lancer for a
french online magazine "Pepites Troniques" and "Blasting News".
Mainly I am writting articles about Electronic Music and others
subjects like Art, Cinema and Fashion. Writting for me is
definitly a great escape and passion I like to share my point of
view my knowledge and my experience. In a future I would love to
learn more about business and to get a good knowledge of marketing
and business skills. I want to be able to handle several projects
simultaneously and to get good management skills. I am really
motived and I am not afraid to work hard it's important for me to
make challenge and learn as much as I can.

I got invited to UDK Universität der Kunst Berlin for a
Performing Art 's Master. I participated to different kind of
workshop, it was a really great experience for me and gave me the
opportunity to meet people, to share my passion and to got the
first impression of Berlin.

Recently, I integrated the project "Emerge". Emerge is a cultural association based in Lisboa, which main aim is to promote emerging contemporary art through partnership projects with public and private institutions, curators, artists, galleries among others. my work is to write articles about young emerging international artists i find in Berlin for them.

I was also making beside an internship at the TEMPORARY SHOWROOM, PR fashion agency/ concept store in Berlin.
My fields of work include Concept store sales assistance, Online store management assistance PR assistance Sponsorship management assistance and Casting director assistance.
We were participating to the Berlin Fashion Week, we were representing a young emerging brand "ATELIER ABOUT" and we were making a private show for them.
It was a wonderful experience, i like the way how we were working all together with designers, PR..It was definitely nice adventure.
