Summary:
The primary objective of Product Owner is leadership and management for the product management lifecycle that results in high production adoption and growth, customer satisfaction, and product costs that align to the value and budget delivered. The role works closely with a Product Director who provides high level product direction, value, and requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with stakeholders to determine the best and prioritised product features
• Team with stakeholders and developers to complete light weight mock ups and prototypes
• Create and manage features that can be turned into technical development stories for the development team
• Define a minimum viable product that creates initial adoption and a release roadmap that expands product availability and adoption to the target market, and personas
• Maintain a product roadmap based on business value perspectives and product backlog to drive future product funding decisions
• Collaborate with analytics development team on options to fulfil customer requirements, and manage customer expectation around product delivery, and product functionality
• Performs hands on data profiling and analysis to identify data and transformation requirements for the data analytics team.
• Review product deliverables, participate in user acceptance testing and production implementation activities
• Produce customer-facing product documentation for product portfolio including trainings, manuals and glossaries
• Manage and prioritise enhancement and defect requests for the product, and ongoing customer satisfaction with the product`
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, finance or another related field.
• Analytics/Business Intelligence experience in a system analyst or product manager role is a plus
• Good understanding of software development life cycle
• Understanding SMEs accounting and workflow is a plus
• Excellent written communication skills – documentation and presentations
• Excellent verbal communication skills - communicate w/business partners, internal audience, senior management executives and developers
• Business requirements authoring/management, Workflow Diagramming
• Working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Office suite of products
• Experience in an analytics product environment
• Prior experience working on analytics products using Agile methodologies is a plus.
Optional Expertise
• Prior formal product manager role
• Accounting/Finance experience
• Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools such as Tableau or Qlikview
• Experience with agile methodology
• Experience with Atlassian products: mainly JIRA and Confluence
Languages:
• French
• English (fluent)
Working environment:
• 2 days a week in Brussels, Belgium (travel expenses are fully covered)
• 3 days a week from home
