 Profil | Third year software engineer, with a strong sense of perseverance, seeking a career in software development or web design. Software Programming • Pascal – Programming language I have been using the most since I started programming. Have good understanding of the language in general and of data structures and their performance issues. Using Delphi. • C – Have used C for low-level programming (shell programming), including handling connections. Started out with high-level programming. • Haskell – Have used Haskell language in Hugs for functional programming. Have a good understanding of mathematical theories and concepts. • C++ - Used it briefly for a project – modification on existing web-filtering software, DansGuardian (open source): incorporation of a simple web server. • Java – Haven’t studied it yet but already have some basic knowledge about it. Web Design • Have created several web sites for Oxford Brookes projects. Competent in all: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash and XML. • Latest website created for selling purpose (Oxford Brookes Project). Website including PHP and MySQL. Competent in both. Computer Science • Have basic knowledge of how a computer operates at the lowest levels, including binary coding. • Basics of computer networks. Understand protocol hierarchies, the different layers and concepts behind connections. Languages • English – Fluent (acted in several English plays including “An Inspector Calls” as “Eric”) • French – Fluent (spoken at home) • Dutch – Fluent (language of primary and secondary studies – 12 years) • German – Basic (4 years in secondary school) Social Skills • Teamwork – Able to work with a team without any problem, friendly and dynamic. • Communication – Good English level, both written and verbal.
